How big does ur tank need to be to have an oscar fish?
i have a 60 galon tank and i would like to know if i could have an oscar inside all i have in that tank so far is 2 iridescent sharks,4 gold barbs,and a pleco all still of smaller size except the sharks.
When you say “all you have” it’s just an impression you have because the fish are small. This will not be the case for long.
Just for the Pangasius Catfish I think your tank is too small as it is. Your fish may be small now and even though they won’t reach the size you see in the wild they will get bigger and perhaps become a danger to your barbs. ( Not guaranteed but possible) The bioload is troubling as well.
As for Oscars the very minimum tank for a single Oscar ( no tank mate) is 55 gallon with uber filtration. Personally I wouldn’t go less than 70 gallons for a single Oscar. Add the possible danger to your barbs from the Oscar when it grows…..
Even if they all got along the bioload would be very heavy in your tank and maintaining water quality would be extremely difficulty, leading to the strong possibility of you having to treat totally preventable illnesses in the not too distant future.
To summarize, I would say no more fish in that tank
