Ice cream is one of those family tradition desserts that anyone can enjoy. Ice cream has developed so many flavors and styles (hard or soft) that it’s become a global treat. The use of custard base is to create a fluffier ice cream. Non custard base ice cream recipes are available, but their textures are usually less desirable.

Before beginning, you will need a saucepan, mixing bowl, a whisk, and utensils for stirring.

Ingredients Needed:

• 1 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1 cups of milk
• 1/3 cup + 1 tbs. sugar
• 2 egg yolks

In the saucepan, heat the milk, cream and 1/3 cup of sugar. Make sure to stir the mixture thoroughly until all the sugar has dissolved.

Whisk the 1 tbs. of sugar in a bowl with the egg yolks. Take this mixture and pour it into the saucepan. Make sure to continue mixing. If you fail to stir properly, the egg will cook, and you will have tiny cooked egg particles in the ice cream.

Keep stirring the mixture for approximately five minutes or until the mixture thickens. Strain the custard base into a clean bowl. Add any flavoring or topping you desire to finish the perfect ice cream!

Ingredients

1 / 2 cup corn syrup or light syrup flavored with maple
1 / 3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon water
1 / 3 cup chopped walnuts or chopped walnuts
2 cups flour all purpose
1 tablespoon baking powder
Salt 1 / 2 teaspoon
Shortening 1 / 3 cup
3 / 4 cup milk
1 / 4 cup granulated sugar
1 / 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Oven to 425 degrees

Method:

- In a saucepan, Mix the syrup, brown sugar, butter or margarine and water.
- Cook and stir over low heat until dissolved brown sugar, bring to boil.
- Spread in the bottom of an 9×9x2-inch pan.
- Sprinkle nuts over.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
- Court of the cup until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Make a well in center. Add milk while stirring until dough is sticky.
- Put the dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Knead dough gently 15 to 20 strokes.
- Roll in a rectangle 12×10 inches.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over batter.
- Jelly Roll Roll up style, starting with the long side.
- Cut into 1 inch pieces.
- Place cut side down, in prepared pan.
- Bake at 425 degrees 30 minutes or until golden.
- Loosen side and put it on a plate.
- Serve hot.
- Make 12 rolls.

Orange Rolls Stick:

- Preparation of wood for nut rolls as above, except substitute one pot 3 / 4 cup granulated sugar for brown sugar.
- Add butter or margarine, a tablespoon of finely grated orange rind 2 tablespoons orange juice.
- Ignore water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, cook stirring for 1 minute.
- Set aside 2 tablespoons mixing orange and pour the rest in a baking dish and 8×8x2 inches.
- Omit nuts.
- Continue as above for the masses.
- Make the dough into a rectangle 12×9 inches.
- Roll out the dough with the reserved orange mixture.
- Mix one fourth cup granulated sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on the dough.
- Wind; slice into 9 pieces.
- Arrange in pan.
- Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Makes 9.

I think the food hardened on the plate. I did not say anything but yes. I saw it happened to someone else, but said nothing. I hate my plate and I saw it hard when I looked through the meal. They serve dishes and store food for themselves. This is a school canteen.

I had a situation where food was not only still dry in this salad, but the plate had been stacked and salad which was sit on this board, which includes dry food, had small fragments of glass that occurred during stacking. Just called the manager and let be in place, but knowledge of broken glass in the salad itself. Very apologetic and grateful for how to handle the situation without involve the whole area dining restaurant. Needless to say our table was free of food and a glass of wine from a project each of us.
